Braceville Township, Trumbull County, Ohio

Braceville Township is one of the twenty-four townships of Trumbull County, Ohio, United States. It is located in the southwestern portion of the county, and borders or touches the following other townships and municipalities:

• Newton Township, on the south;
• The city of Newton Falls, on the south-southwest;
• Paris Township, Portage County, on the southwest (touches, but does not border);
• Windham Township, Portage County, on the west;
• Nelson Township, Portage County, on the northwest (touches, but does not border);
• Southington Township, on the north;
• Champion Township, on the northeast (touches, but does not border);
• Warren Township, on the east;
• The village of Lordstown, on the southeast (touches, but does not border)

Braceville Township is formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve. In 1990, the Turnpike Interchange Census-designated place [CDP] was located in Braceville Township; however, this ceased to be a CDP after the 1990 Census. As of 2000, there were 2,887 people in the township. Braceville Township covers an area of 25 mi².

Boxer Earnie Shavers, famous for surviving 15 rounds against Muhammad Ali in 1977, grew up in Braceville [1].
