Braal, a comedy rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area, has achieved a small but loyal fanbase, due primarily to their unique blend of humorous and often vulgar lyrics, catchy music that spans many musical genres from reggae to black metal, and a creative stageshow featuring cartoonish props, silly antics, and homemade costumes. Criticized as being a rip-off of the shock-rock band Gwar, Braal has struggled with schedule conflicts among band members and remains a "part-time" band.
