[edit] Remote Viewing

I think the Protocol section on the RV page is already clear enough. By the way, is Targ's book your only reference material on the subject? Ersby 10:38, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bush's second term article banner removals and discussion comments

Bptdude, thank you for your recent actions on Bush's second term article. I agree with your compliments of Wikipedia; look no further than the beautiful work down on Mark Felt and Stephen Colbert at the 2006 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner articles for thorough collaborations on a person whose most famous identity was no revealed until last year and an event that happened just months ago. I can't think of another encyclopedia with such access, variety, and new information while maintaining quality.

But perhaps the banners on Bush's article were somewhat appropriate. Sadly the article has had little contributions of note in the past few months besides those from Dhwani1989 and I; before this summer the 2005 and 2006 events sections were sparse. I want this article to be accurate, verifiable, and comprehensive; I value Wikipedia's free education for the world. But I am a 20-year-old college student who may have released some of his frustrations in the article while still trying to uphold its quality; Dhwani1989 seems to mean well too but judging by his username he is also young, about 17, and perhaps we made overbroad statements with meaningless (for an encylopedia words) and I especially may have sacrified some neutrality, especially with the opening setences that in retrospect had value statements. I spent several hours yesterday (judiciously except to the detriment of other aspects of my life temporarily...) trying to address these issues as well as add new information. Perhaps you first saw the article after I made the changes. Anyway, I think it is appreciably improved and certainly a good source for people to find out more information on the topic and to at least point, say, a student doing research, in the right direction (even if the article was of Featured Article quality, I'm sure many universities and even high schools do not consider Wikipedia citable because of its radical philosophy and its articles' constant changes.

Altogether, I am an analytical and conscientious person who can see the good and bad in things and people, including Bush. I hope the article reflects that and I try to update it as new information comes up; it gives utility to my keeping politically informed. This article by its nature cocerns the United States' very recent political history and current events better than any on Wikipedia of which I know. Minutiaman 20:41, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
