Hi Brandon, I have reverted your addition of a "The Activist Movement" sub-section to the Darfur conflict section of the Darfur page. Given that Darfur is meant to cover the entirety of a region the size of France with a history starting in the 14th century, I felt that the section wasn't significant enough in context of the article's scope to merit its own TOC line and probably was overly specific so such a broad focus. Such information is of course welcome on the Darfur conflict page.

I've noticed that there seem to be a number of activist editors on the Darfur conflict page. If there is not an umbrella organization for all these groups to edit, you are welcome to start a Darfur conflict and international advocacy or similarly named article to list organizations, describe history of the movement, actions taken, etc as long as it conforms to the policies listed above. That could then be linked to from Darfur conflict.

Also, if you are looking for some editing help and can't find it on Talk:Darfur conflict, there is a Africa-related regional notice board and a WikiProject Sudan, which are watched by friendly people. Finally, given your affiliation with the Save Darfur Coalition, please be mindful of avoiding "official edits" from this personal account, e.g. if your supervisor asks you to change something. In such cases, it is far better for organizations to set up an account that makes only edits that are approved by the organization. (See User:USSTRATCOM PAO for an example that the communications department of the Coalition may want to adopt.)

OK, thus ends the longest welcome message I may have ever written. Cheers, BT 21:46, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
