Boz Boorer (b. Martin James Boorer, May 19, 1962 in Edgware, Middlesex) is a guitarist who composes music for Morrissey. He has been one of Morrissey's main co-songwriters, along with Alain Whyte since 1991 and with Jesse Tobias since 2004. Boorer was a member of the rockabilly band The Polecats during the early 1980s. He has also released solo material and worked with other artists, including Adam Ant, Kirsty MacColl, Joan Armatrading, Jools Holland, and Edwyn Collins. He also worked with his wife's band The Shillelagh Sisters between 1983 and 1984.

Like Whyte, Boorer joined Morrissey in 1991 when the singer assembled a new band under the title of 'Musical Director'. Boorer played guitar on the singles "Pregnant for the Last Time" and "My Love Life." The first album to appear that included his contributions was Your Arsenal but Boorer's first writing credits were on "Jack The Ripper", a b-side from the "Certain People I Know" single. Along with Whyte, he is credited with successfully synthesizing jangle pop and American rockabilly to create a new sound for Morrissey that helped to revitalize his career. Boorer was the only member of Morrissey's initial band to perform with the singer during the three concerts at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in February 2007.
