Boves is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 80 km south of Turin and about 6 km south of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,507 and an area of 51.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Boves contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Castellar, Cerati, Fontanelle, San Mauro, Rivoira, San Giacomo, Sant'Anna, and Mellana.
Boves borders the following municipalities: Borgo San Dalmazzo, Cuneo, Limone Piemonte, Peveragno, Robilante, Roccavione, and Vernante.
