Bournemouth International Centre

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) is one of the leading venues for conferences, exhibitions, entertainment and events in Southern England. Owned and managed by Bournemouth Borough Council, the BIC operates alongside its sister venue, The Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom to provide the event organiser and leisure visitor with some of the best facilities on England's south coast. The BIC was best known for it's swimming pool with wave machine but this was closed in 2004 to make way for a new conference hall. The Solent Hall was put in its place and this holds 2,500 people for standing music concerts. The main Windsor Hall has a concert capacity of 8,000 (800 seated and 7,200 standing) and is one of the bigger indoor music venues in the UK. The BIC is often included in the UK tours of famous artists such as the Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight and Girls Aloud.

Situated in the heart of Bournemouth with public transport links close by, the Bournemouth International Centre hosts a variety of events all year.
