Boulevard Saint-Laurent is a major street located in downtown Gatineau, Quebec. It starts at the intersection of Rue Laurier heading west towards the Lac-des-Feés Parkway where it will connect with the extension of Boulevard de l'Outaouais (will be named Boulevard des Allumettieres). It will then provides direct and faster access to the Alexandra Bridge for Aylmer residents towards Ottawa starting in Fall 2007.
In 2004, the section of this boulevard west of Quebec Autoroute 50 to Boulevard Saint-Joseph was completed with a roundabout with the major north-south route. The Quebec Ministry of Transportation added a second interchange from Highway 50 to provide an access to westbound Saint-Laurent Last year, the route was further extended to near the Promenades du Lac-des-Feés.
In the downtown area, the street was revitalized near Boulevard Maisonneuve, making the route a much more modern look near the city's busiest intersection. However, some new housing units were also built replacing older ones.
