The Buctouche, New Brunswick Tornado was a tornado that struck the town of Buctouche on August 6, 1879. It is estimated to be an F3 in strength, and is the easternmost major tornado in North America, though weaker tornadoes and waterspouts have been known to form in Nova Scotia.
The tornado killed 5 people, injured 10 others, and rendered 25 families homeless.
