Bothell Senior High School is located in Bothell, Washington and is one of three high schools in the Northshore School District. Nearly 1700 students in grades 10 through 12 are currently enrolled.A number are enrolled in special programs, such as "Tech Prep" and "Running Start," which can provide college credit along with high school credit; others are benefiting from the vocational training available in a variety of satellite programs which are offered through Northshore School District through NEVAC (a cooperative of seven local school districts), and through Lake Washington Technical College.

One major focus of Bothell High School is helping our students realize that their high school choices and successes will certainly impact their adult lives. With that in mind, we have implemented a school-wide program: PAWS (Pathways to Academic and Work Success), through which our students are invited to identify their personal interests, talents, and skills; to select one of five broad career pathways; and to explore a number of careers and occupations which interest them.

The school mascot is currently a Cougar. The school's newspaper is appropriately named The Catamount.

Former students include U.S. Senator Patty Murray Bothell High School placed 2nd in the WIAA 4A state football competition in 2006. Bothell High School also has an Award Winning band lead by the director Kevin Clayton. In 2005, the girls gymnastics team placed first in the WIAA 4A state championship, and Junior Carrie Dragland placed 1st in the individual all around.

[edit] rivalry

Police in Bothell say a high school rivalry got way out of hand.

Hundreds of students from Inglemoor and Bothell High Schools were involved in a brawl caught on videotape before a football game Friday night.

Kids from both high schools had gathered for the 'Boomer Bowl' -- an annual tradition of touch football before the real football game that night.

We're told these brawls went on for hours, with students punching and kicking one another.

Northshore School District officials say the video, which was shot by a student, shows the students involved in a vicious fist fight on a playfield in Bothell.

"It was upsetting for the school principal," said district spokeswoman Susan Stolzfus. "We're not sure how the students feel, but I hope at this point in retrospect they feel they made some bad choices."

The student who taped the fight apparently edited the footage with music and captions and was showing it off at school.

The district says it can't take any disciplinary action because the fight did not take place on school grounds.

Parents of the students involved are being notified and the tape has been turned over to the Bothell Police Department. But police can't really do anything about what they see unless someone comes forward to file an assault complaint.
