Bossk is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He first appeared in the 1980 movie Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back as a bounty hunter hired to track down the Millennium Falcon in order to capture Han Solo. He has since appeared several times in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
He makes an appearance in The New Jedi Order series, in Jim Luceno's Agents of Chaos I: Hero's Trial in which he says, "But what's one flea-ridden Wookiee or another? Why don't you just go out and get yourself another one?" to Han Solo. Han responds by punching him in the face, for which he is detained. Chewbacca had died in a previous book in the series.
The first record of Bossk was when he commits his first act of murder. He hatches from his egg and shows his teeth to his father, then quickly eats his unhatched sisters and brothers. But Bossk is best known for his brief appearance in the fifth film. There is no record of his death, and he also makes an appearance in one of the anthologied from Bantam Spectra Books. The most recent sighting of Bossk was in Hero's Trial, after it says "Han threw the punch that started it all."
Bossk's Ship (Hound's Tooth) was stolen by Boba Fett in the book Bounty Hunter Wars
There is speculation among Star Wars fans that a novel may be written focusing on Bossk. Unfortunately it seems that all of the books mentioning Bossk focus more on the other five or so bounty hunters.
