Bosbokrand
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bosbokrand is a town situated in the Limpopo Province of South Africa. The name, which means Bushbuck ridge, was given because of the large herds of antelope that were found there in the 1880s. The town grew around a trading store which opened in 1884. Tobacco, cotton and vegetable farming takes place in the surrounding countryside.
The citizens of the town and surrounding areas are in dispute with the provincial government because they say they should fall under the Mpumalanga Province with Nelspruit being much closer to them than Polokwane.
