[edit] RE: Saidra

Hello! I see you recently created the page Saidra. Congratulations on the great work. However, this page may better be served as a redirect to the Haora River article.

If you have any comments on this, please leave them on my talk page. --Signed and Sealed, JJJJust (T C) 11:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Ujjayanta Palace.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ujjayanta Palace.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:07, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] jumping spiders

hi borok,

why did you remove the disambiguation link to the jumping spider genus Sarinda? Don't you like spiders? ;)

just asking, because i put it back up there, and if you removed it for some special reason, maybe we can sort it out.

btw., here's a picture of one. it tries to look like an ant :) The spider genus was actually named after the musical instrument Sarinda, the discoverers of the genus were fans of Indian culture, and gave several spider genera Indian names.

[edit] Wikipedia in Kokborok

Hi

I am very happy with the developments that are going on in the Wikipedia. I have observed that there are hundreds of languages listed in translated versions of articles. I would like to propose that a Wikipedia page be started in Kokborok language. If any help is needed I can devote myself to develop it. I would also like to request to give me ADMIN status for Kokborok version of Wikipedia.

--Borok 06:25, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi Borok. It's great to see you work on articles on Tripura. I once tried to develop some, but could not proceed much. It will be great to have a WP in Kokborok. However, you should ask some admin. I suggest you talk with Nichalp (talk contribs count). He is a veteran Indian wikipedian who can guide you. Also you can talk with Bdebbarma (talk contribs count) for collaboration helps. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:08, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for all your interest in developing and expanding the wikipedia pages for Tripura, please keep contributing.

[edit] Regarding Tripura towns

Thanks for your contributions to the Indian town articles. Please do not add external links in the intro. Add them to the External links section. For adding references, please read Wikipedia:Footnotes. - Ganeshk (talk) 16:52, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A few matters

Hi Pankaj,

Interesting to see your contributions at wiki. A few matters:

  • One cannot copy-paste text material from websites into the wiki-articles, as that counts as violation of copyright. Its generally better with a resume of the text, and a linked reference to the full text.

--Soman 13:00, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia, as you did in Banamalipur. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links as long as the content abides by our policies and guidelines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request

(reply on my talk page plz) We need Kokborok names for Sachin Dev Burman and all the people in Category:Tripuris.Bakaman Bakatalk 00:21, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Borok Hoda Thong

I've proposed the deletion of this article because I think it fails to meet the policy guideline WP:CORP. If you can improve the article to show that it does, that improvement would be a good answer. Mereda 09:59, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
