[edit] Chicago terminals
Heh, I didn't realize they were just created - I had been writing articles about the Lake Shore and Michigan Southern Railway which naturally led to Chicago. Would you happen to have detailed information about when each company used each station? For instance, the Nickel Plate used a station at 12th Street before it moved to LaSalle Street Station, and it may have used Central Station earlier given the way the tracks point towards a merge with the Illinois Central Railroad. --SPUI (talk) 02:37, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
- I'm assuming you mean the 1950s? The NYC had the Nickel Plate from 1882 to the 1910s. An 1897 map shows it going to a station on the NYC line at 12th Street, and a 1928 map in Trains magazine July 2003 shows it going to LaSalle (trackage rights were probably part of the agreement when the NYC sold the NKP). --SPUI (talk) 03:39, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
