Talk:Borung Highway collision, Donald

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Borung Highway collision, Donald article is worthy of retention on Wikipedia because it has useful lessons to be learned similar to those found it many articles listed in List of road accidents and List of rail accidents.

This accident involves a Signal passed at danger or SPAD, albeit a term mostly used for rail rather than road. The article records breaking news and is necessarily a work in progress.

[edit] Notability

Seven people died? Sorry, but how exactly is this notable? "Useful lessons to be learned" doesn't make it notable if it's just a generic example of a type of accident. Why not make an article called "Y-intersection failure to yield accidents" or something if it's so important? I mean, look at the list of road accidents: most involve buses, and have death tolls at the very least in the double digits, and most of them don't even get their own articles unless they're notable for some special reason. I hate to be morbid, but seven people dying in a car accident is a pretty common event in this world we live in. Foxmulder 22:11, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
