The municipality of Stockholm (Stockholms stad, or City of Stockholm in English) is divided into 14 boroughs (stadsdelsområden). These boroughs are further subdivided into districts (stadsdelar).

Metropolitan Stockholm includes additional municipalities besides the City of Stockholm.
