Boris Wiedenfeld

Boris Wiedenfeld is a jazz pianist and producer. Born 1970 in Germany. After touring with the popular German funk-pop band 'Second Plan' in the late 1980s he moved to the US in 1990 to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he remained until 1995. Moved to Florida in the mid-90s where he worked for Alesis as their clincian and toured around the US and the world promoting their instruments.
He has played with, among others, Gregg Bissonette (Santana, Steve Vai), Matthias Lupri, James Kidwell (Blood, Sweat & Tears), Philipp van Endert, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Mauricio Claveria (La Ley)...
Founder of AudioComputing, one of the pioneers of dedicated Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs). Has taught seminars and given lectures on music technology at the Royal Academy of Music - Stockholm, Sweden; Mexico City Conservatory; Universitaet Zuerich, Switzerland, Denver University and others.
Taught jazz piano at the University of Minnesota, Duluth until 2006. Currently lives near Eugene, Oregon.
