[edit] Bomberphone Relevance

Wikipedia is meant to be a font of human knowledge and a medium where information can be shared. I find it discouraging that information originating in Tasmania, which is not already on the internet, is marked for deletion. The addition for posterity of those facts not currently in the wider public realm is a cause for celebration and i deeply resent the assertation of nonsense given i have, in my possession, both sources as handed down to me in NON-DIGITAL form from my forebears. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Johnsonmcaferty (talkcontribs) 203.0.35.33 05:53, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Reason for AFD/Speedy deletion nomination

Wikipedia:Don't create hoaxes

Immanuel Velikovsky was not associated with this hoax article - he was not in Tasmania in the 1950's. Please be very careful about WP:Civility and WP:Wikiquette when responding to other editors and the deletion process SatuSuro 23:40, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

I suggest it be speedied or PROD'ed. It's been some time since this was first brought up as an issue (those are my researches at the top). AfD is overkill I feel. ++Lar: t/c 23:51, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Bombed. Hesperian 23:59, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

It's not about Immanuel Veliovsky. I don't know who that is. It's about Alexei Vehilovski. But i understand now. Essentially unless something is already on the internet it doesn't make it on to wikipedia where moderators seem incapable of doing anything beyond Googling. Im signed in to sign this now. But given the 'methodical method' you clearly use to judge articles i am amazed you deleted it having searched the WRONG PERSON! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 203.0.35.3 (talk • contribs) 22:02, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

There's no evidence anywhere of Bomberphone. Nor Alexei Vehilovski. Nor "On the depths of man". Nor "Hacker & Cross". Nor "The Launceston Chronicler". Why don't you go away and stop wasting our time. Hesperian 02:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
203.0... as Hersperian says, and also see my search above. I searched for the right person. Found bupkus. This page ought to go shortly too, as the talk page of a deleted article. ++Lar: t/c 17:13, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Please do not keep deleting this.I understand that this is not on Google! It's based on paper documentation. Regards JM

It's based on non-existent paper documentation by a non-existent author and published by a non-existent publishing company. Deleted again, and salted this time. Maybe now you'll stop wasting our time. Hesperian 03:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
