Bombardier Challenger

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Canadair Challenger business jet is a family of mid-sized jets produced by Bombardier Aerospace.

The original Challengers were designed by Bill Lear as the LearJet 600

The Canadair Regional Jet is a derivative of the business jet turned into the first of the new wave of regional jets.

A derivative of the CRJ-200, turned back into a business jet is called the Challenger 800

A new clean-sheet design Bombardier Continental business jet was produced, to accommodate trans-continental ranges. However the marketing department determined it was wasteful for so many product names, and rechristened this the Challenger 300.
