Bomb Shelter is an episode from the TV series Malcolm in the Middle.

In this episode, the family goes to the mall to buy Malcolm underwear. While at the mall, Malcolm spots a girl who seems attracted to him, and joins dance classes to be with her. Meanwhile, Lois enters a contest for a new truck. At home, Reese and Dewey are contemplating how to get out of breaking Hal's favorite trophy.

Malcolm seems to be a natural at dancing, and quickly becomes the star of the class. When he starts to train for a competition, he chooses the girl whom he originally followed to the dance classes to be his partner, but quickly realizes she is not a good dancer. So, he ends up with a geeky girl he is not very interested in, but is a very good dancer. She displays interest in him, and kisses him. He eventually becomes interested in her, but in the end their relationship goes nowhere.

Lois enters a contest in the mall in which the contestant to stay touching a new Dodge Dakota longest wins it. She gradually weeds out her opponents using various methods. Eventually she wins, and takes home the truck.

[edit] Hal and the Bomb Shelter

After breaking his trophy, Reese and Dewey, in a moment of desperation, lock Hal in a hole they found in the back yard. After doing this, they feel guilty and decide to complete Hal's to do list. Meanwhile, Hal discovers that the hole is an elaborate 60's style bomb shelter. He quickly makes himself at home, not eager to leave any time soon, until he needs an olive for his martini. He finds a second exit, and sneaks to the kitchen. Reese and Dewey discover him, then Lois returns after winning the truck.
