Folks, I've deleted this bit at the end of the article:

Note: It is possible that many of these people's boggarts have changed. For example, with the Death Eater who destroyed his parents' sanity on the loose, Neville's greatest fear may have become Bellatrix Lestrange. Also, Hermione encountered her boggart during an exam, so that may account for it taking the form of Professor McGonagall. By the end of Book 6, Harry's fears of Dementors may have been superseded by his unyielding pursuit of both Lord Voldemort and Severus Snape.

It's pure speculation with no clear source, so I took it out.--RicardoC 11:44, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] What about Mad-Eye Moody?

The article says:

To this day, nobody knows what a bogart's "natural form" is, or if it even has one.

But in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, while the order was at headquarters, Moody looked through several floors to identify a boggart hidden in a drawer. It is unlikely that the boggart would have known it was being observed, so Moody must have seen what the boggart really looked like. Because he was able to confirm that what he saw was a boggart, he must have also recognized it as a boggart from appearance.--kenb215 16:54, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Possibly, but he didn't say anything, so the true form still remains unknown. I have altered the sentence to reflect this. --cholmes75 (chit chat) 20:14, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
