The Boerentoren (aka farmers' tower) is the second tallest building of Antwerp, it measures 97 meters and was the first skyscraper of the European continent. The construction of the building was completed in 1931 and was then 87.5 meters high, due to restorations it measures now 97 meters. The building is in Art-deco style and was designed by Jan Van Hoenacker.
