Boechera gunnisoniana, ( Gunnison's Rockcress ), is a perennial herb belonging to the Brassicaceae family (the Mustards). It grows on windswept ridges as well as on stoney hillsides in west-central Colorado. Flowering time is from May to June.
B. gunnisoniana has many slender, erect stems which may reach a height up to 15 cm. According to chromosome counts by Rollins (1941) this species is diploid (n=7 as in all Boechera species) which probably reproduces sexually.
