[edit] Attraction description

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

[edit] Queue

Guests enter the queue as "observation team members" and are told by overhead announcements that you have to pass level 1 and level 2 dermatopic purification screen to enter the body probe vehicle.

In the queue and loading area, announcements are made that tell various details about the four bays.

[edit] Boarding

Dr. Cynthia Lair has been miniaturized into a volunteer to observe a splinter. You are told you will board vehicle Bravo 229 and will be shrunk. Your mission is to meet up with Dr. Cynthia Lair and bring her out. Captain Braddock will be your pilot.

[edit] Ride

Bravo 229 goes from the bay to the miniaturization room, where technicians focus a particle beam on the ship. The ship and guests are shrunk and sent under the skin. White blood cells are seen on their way to destroy the splinter. We arrive at the splinter where we met up with the Dr. Cynthia Lair.

She begins to take a cell count when she is accidentally pulled into a capillary. Captain Braddock follows her into the vein, entering an unauthorized area. The captain steers Bravo past the heart into the right ventricle. You enter the lungs where the doctor is being attacked by a white blood cell.

The captain uses his lasers to free the doctor. By now, the ship is very low on power. The doctor suggests that we use the brain to raise the power level. Passing the heart's left atrium, you go through the artery to get to the brain. Finally a neuron hits the ship and you regain power, causing it to de-miniaturize.

Spoilers end here.

[edit] Trivia

  • The line of body probe vehicles used in this adventure is "LGS 2050", and they "weigh approximately 26 tons." Once miniaturized, they "weigh less than a drop of water."
  • The vehicles are shrunk by a "particle reducer".

[edit] Accident

On May 16, 1995, four-year-old Linda Elaine Baker passed out during a ride on the Body Wars attraction. She died after she was sent to the hospital. See Incidents at Disney parks for more information.
