Boadicea class cruiser

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Boadicea class consisted of two scout cruisers of the Royal Navy.

Enlarged in-house design follow on to the earlier commercially designed scouts. Unlike the earlier ships they were turbine powered but were still soon outrun by modern destroyers limiting their usefulness in working with destroyers although the increase in size improved sea keeping.
