Bo Hanson (Left Behind)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beauregard "Bo" Hansen is a fictional character who appears in the "Left Behind" series of books, written by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins.

Bo owns a 5% stake in the Palwaukee Airport, with the other 95% (and thus control) in the hands of T. M. Delanty. The Tribulation Force uses this airport on a regular basis, especially for Co-op business. Bo is an unbeliever who is often treated with disdain by Rayford Steele. This creates a conflict between T. and Rayford over how unbelievers should be treated during the Tribulation. Although Bo may not be worthy of respect, T. persuades Rayford that he is not an enemy and that they should attempt to convert him rather than treating him poorly.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Bo arranges for his brother, Sam, to fly Hattie Durham to Europe as a part of her plan to find and kill Nicolae Carpathia. Sam and Hattie fake their deaths in order to elude the Global Community forces, but Sam is caught and killed. When Bo hears this news from T., he commits suicide.
