bmi regional is a regional airline based in Aberdeen, Scotland. bmi regional is a trading name of British Midland Regional Limited which is a subsidiary of BMI operating scheduled passenger services primarily within the UK. Its main base is Aberdeen Airport[1].
British Midland Regional Limited holds a United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority Type A Operating Licence, it is permitted to carry passengers, cargo and mail on aircraft with 20 or more seats.[2]

The airline was established in 1987 as Business Air and started operations in August 1987. It changed its name in 2001 to British Midland Regional.
The airline is owned by Sir Michael Bishop (50%), Lufthansa (30%) and SAS Braathens (20%) and it has 378 employees[3].
