So Lucky aka Renee Geyer (1981) |
Blues License is Renee's 8th solo release and is unique in her Soul/R & B catalogue in that this is a straightforward blues/rock album. Australia's pre-eminent guitar hero and his band, the Kevin Borich Express are featured on 5 of the 8 tracks and receive equal accreditation on the back sleeve. Musicians on the remaining tracks are of an equally high calibre, including the multi-octave talents of jazz singer Kerrie Biddell on 2 tracks, and another highly respected axeman Tim Piper, also on 2 tracks. Regular Renee Geyer Band members, keyboard player Mal Logan & Tim Partridge (also a member of KBE) are featured on all tracks as is guitarist Mark Punch on one.
