From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Blues Alley, founded in 1965 [1], is a dinner and jazz nightclub in Washington, D.C.'s Georgetown neighborhood. The club is tucked away in an alley, off of Wisconsin Avenue, in an 18th-century carriage house. Many well-known jazz musicians have performed at Blues Alley, including Steve Smith, Dizzy Gillespie, Sarah Vaughn, Wynton Marsalis, and Stan Getz. [2] Among the artists to record a "Live at Blues Alley" album is the late Eva Cassidy, who performed in the club several times.
