Blue Room (song)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Blue Room" was written by Richard Rodgers (music) and Lorenz Hart (lyrics) for the 1926 musical The Girl Friend. It was sung by Eva Puck and Sammy White in the original 1926 cast.

Later, "Blue Room" was featured in the 1948 movie Words and Music (MGM, Color, 119 minutes), a highly fictionalized telling of Rodgers's and Hart's lives. In the movie, "Blue Room" was sung by Perry Como, who played Eddie Lorrison Anders.

It was recorded twice by Perry Como, on May 29, 1948 (for an album release) and on December 17, 1948 (released as a single record).
