Blue Prism Ltd is a British software and technology company based in Manchester, England.

Blue Prism was formed in 2001 by Alastair Bathgate and David Moss. In 2004, after three years of delivering Business Process Automation solutions to financial institutions, the company received venture capital backing from Enterprise Ventures.[1]

In October 2005, former BT executive Tony Kane was appointed as sales director, [2] and in January 2006, Alastair Walmsley was appointed as Director of Finance.[3]

Blue Prism specialises in Business Process Automation, and markets a product called Blue Prism Automate, providing this and related services to enterprise clients such as The Co-operative Bank[4][5][6] and Barclays Bank[3][7].
