Blue Mountain is a town in Calhoun County, Alabama, United States. At the 2000 census the population was 233. It is included in the Anniston-Oxford, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Blue Mountain is located at 33°41'19.028" North, 85°50'15.277" West (33.688619, -85.837577)GR1.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 233 people, 104 households, and 56 families residing in the town. The population density was 999.6/km² (2,670.4/mi²). There were 125 housing units at an average density of 536.3/km² (1,432.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 76.82% White, 14.59% Black or African American, 0.86% Asian, 7.30% from other races, and 0.43% from two or more races. 6.01% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 104 households out of which 19.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 32.7% were married couples living together, 16.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.2% were non-families. 42.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 23.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 3.04.
In the town the population was spread out with 20.6% under the age of 18, 11.6% from 18 to 24, 23.2% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 22.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 67.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 69.7 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $25,357, and the median income for a family was $26,875. Males had a median income of $18,750 versus $19,375 for females. The per capita income for the town was $32,579. About 14.6% of families and 29.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 45.5% of those under the age of eighteen and 27.8% of those sixty five or over.
