Blue Brainwash

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Blue Brain Wash is an odd soda created by the Skeleteens, a sort of experimental beverage company with ties to the punk and cyberpunk movements. Claiming on its label to “get rid of the garbage they’ve been dumping in your mind”, this drink is made with such outlandish ingredients as gotu kola, African capsicum, mad-dog weed, and more. It also contains some more identifiable ingredients like ginseng, guarana and jalapeño oil.

The taste is reminiscent of blue raspberry, but because of the peppers and jalapeño oil it has a spicy aftertaste. Many of the ingredients are known or suspected stimulants, and this coupled with a high caffeine content make Blue Brain Wash a potent drink. This is part of the reason that vodka and brainwash is a popular combination. One more important aspect of Blue Brain Wash is the absurd level of blue food coloring – so much that it will turn both the drinker’s mouth and feces blue. If enough is consumed, the drinker's urine may also gain a blue tint.

This drink seems to be a magnet for mythology. Some people say it is made from windex and Tabasco sauce. Others claim it is harvested from the bottom of portable toilets. Many think it is the urine of some lesser deity. It is unlikely that these claims contain any truth, but their existence has contributed to blue brainwash's cult status.

For some period of time Blue Brain Wash (and indeed every other drink from the Skeleteens) was not being manufactured. Currently it is being distributed by Sodaking.com
