Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima (pron. IPA ['fa.ti.mɐ]) is a Catholic lay society formed in 1947 by Monsignor Harold V. Colgan and John M. Haffert. It is dedicated to the practising and spreading the message of Our Lady of Fatima throughout the world. It is named "The Blue Army" because of its dedication to Mary, Mother of God whose liturgical color is blue and because of the particular pledge they have made to her and her message.

As part of its apostolate, it encourages Eucharistic prayer and the Rosary in "prayer cells," First Saturday Devotions, and a Sacred Heart Home Enthronement Program and Family Consecrations to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. It operates a shrine in Washington, New Jersey and Domus Pacis, a pilgrimage center in Fatima.
