Template talk:Block-n
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Usage
To use this warning template simply copy the following code onto a user's talk page:
{{subst:block-n|block duration|page vandalized}}
Substitute "block duration" with how long the block is, for example, "24 hours" or "1 week", and substitute "page vandalized" with the name of the page they vandalized, for example, "Evolution" or "George W. Bush". You don't need to add Wikilinks to the page name; the template does it automatically. Also, you don't need to sign your name; the template does that automatically, too. It also automatically creates a link to the user's block log. Here is an example:
{{subst:block-n|24 hours|Evolution}}
yields:
You have been blocked for 24 hours from editing Wikipedia because of your vandalism to Evolution. If you wish to make useful contributions, you may do so after the block expires. See your block log for more details. Cyde↔Weys 15:05, 20 May 2006 (UTC) |
