Bloodstorm picks up where Bloodlust ends, with Radu's (Anders Hove) burning body left for dead back at Castle Vladislas. In Becky and Michelle's (Denice Duff) haste they forgot one important element, the Bloodstone. As Radu's body lies burning, his still animated limbs reach for the Bloodstone, which was thrown over the ledge of the castle. With a few quick drops of Saint's blood, Radu is able to gain enough strength to leave the Sun's rays and rest in his crypt. Unbeknown to Michelle, there is a car accident; Becky and her friends are killed, leaving Michelle alone in her body bag. A stranger, Ana, happens by and notices the wreck and stops to help. After calling the police, she notices the body bag, which was thrown free from the wreckage. Upon investigation, she finds Michelle still "alive" in the bag. When Michelle goes into anaphylactic shock, from exposure to the sunlight, Ana realizes that she must get her medical attention immediately, and cannot wait for the police. She contacts a former professor of hers and arranges for Michelle to be brought to his clinic. It appears the good doctor has abandoned his merits of treatment for in the pursuit of experimentation. Dr. Nicolescu quickly surmises that she is a vampire, and requests to know who her sire was. When Michelle informs him that it was Radu Vladislas, Ana is quick to dismiss it as nothing more than urban folklore. Dr. Nicolescu promises that he can cure Michelle, but, it seems the doctor may be hiding dark secrets of his own.

Radu soon regains full strength and tracks Michelle down to Bucharest. Fortunately, Radu had retained a previous offspring, from more than a century before, Ash (Jonathon Morris from Vampire Journals). Ash has been accumulating a vast wealth in the Vladislas name, which Radu has come to collect, along with his help in finding and destroying his fledgling, Michelle. Ash, fearful of his master's wrath, agrees. Serena quickly plots with Radu to kill Ash, and reclaim his throne. Radu humors Serena, until he is tired of her and quickly sends her back to Ash. After a failed conspiracy with Radu, Serena turns her attention back to Ash in the hopes that he will slay Radu. Knowing the laws, that vampires must never kill their own kind, Ash informs Serena that she must find a human to do the job which they cannot. Serena is sent out to follow Radu, and find a suitable mortal who possesses the strength to kill Radu.

Radu soon discovers Michelle's location, but, he is unable to enter because the hospital lies on concecrated ground, and must be invited. After the promise of three drops of blood from the Bloodstone, Dr. Nicolescu invites Radu in. The doctor double-crosses Radu, bringing out sun lamps and holy water, the doctor and his men subdue Radu and drive a stake through his heart. Michelle releases Radu. The two quickly leave vowing vengeance upon the doctor. As soon as Radu leaves Serena makes who move toward Ana and the doctor. Serena informs Ana that she is the only one that can kill Radu. Serena gives Ana the key to Radu's family crypt and informs her that she will find Radu and Michelle there.

Serena returns to Ash to inform him of the good news, which he soon believes will be the end of both of them as well. However, when Serena tells him that she broke the lock so that the crypt can only open from the outside he becomes delighted. He knows that once Ana has killed Radu, she will be trapped inside the crypt and he and Serena will be able to feast upon her, after the sun goes down. Ana and Dr. Nicolescu arrive at the tomb and follow the instructions Serena gave. They find Radu and Michelle both asleep, in the bowels of the crypt. Unfortunately, Radu awakens before the doctor can stake him. To save his own life the doctor betrays Ana to Radu, and in exchange Radu allows him to also take a drop from the Bloodstone. Radu has treachery on his own mind, and kills Nicolescu. He then turns his attention to Ana, allowing Michelle to circle around in hopes that this kill will solidify her place by his side. In a moment of weakness, Michelle cannot go through with the kill, and Radu decides he will take her life. Before he can bite Ana, Michelle slices his throat, allowing Ana enough time to decapitate Radu. They burn his body and take the Bloodstone. Ash and Serena are waiting for them at the opening, but a caretaker, hearing Ana's screams, surprises them by opening the crypt and spilling sunlight inside. They hide Michelle in a coffin and transport her out of the cemetery, and leave Radu's head on a pike to burn in the sun.
