Blowback is the sixth album of Bristol, England rapper/producer Tricky, released in 2001. Blowback contains a number of collaborations like Nearly God did, but the sound is much brighter and more relaxed. Tricky himself says that he wants to get airplay with this album, while most of his older albums were made to stay off the radio. Guest singers on Blowback include the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cyndi Lauper, Alanis Morissette, Ed Kowalczyk and not so well known artists as Hawkman, Stephanie McKay and Ambersunshower, with whom he already worked in 1996 for the charity compilation Childline.

A new song called "Question" and an alternate version of the song "Diss Never" both with Alanis Morissette's vocals are still unreleased, because her label Maverick Records holds them back.{cn}

• "Excess" (track 1) contains backing vocals by Alanis Morissette. (Alanis also appeared in another song, "Question", that was never officially released but was leaked through the Internet.) This song was featured on the soundtrack to the movie Queen of the Damned.
• "Evolution Revolution Love" (track 2) features Ed Kowalczyk of the American rock band Live singing the vocals for the chorus.
• The music for the song "Diss Never" was originally intended for the unreleased song "Question" which featured only Alanis Morissette on vocals through out the entire track. Alanis' record label, Maverick Records wouldn't allow the song to be released.
• "Girl" (track 4) features Anthony Kiedis (back-up vocals) and John Frusciante (on guitar) of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
• "#1 Da Woman" (track 6) features John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers on guitar and chorus vocals. This song is a cover version of the title song for the TV Series Wonder Woman.
• "Something in the Way" (track 10) is a cover the song originally performed by Nirvana.
• "Five Days" (track 11) contains guest vocals by Cyndi Lauper.
