Bloodgood is a Christian Metal band from Seattle, Washington. They originally formed in 1985 and released a demo, Metal Missionaries, that same year. Their 1986 eponymous debut was produced by Darrell Mansfield.[1]

Their first major United States tour was in 1987, and was protested by groups on the Christian right.[2] The band was more popular in Europe than in the United States,[1] and they toured the United Kingdom in 1988.[3] This tour featured lead vocalist Les Carlsen in a graphic portrayal of Christ being crucified.[3]

They are currently working with Oz Fox from Stryper in a newly formed lineup. Michael Bloodgood, the group's bass player, will also be releasing a solo worship CD later this year.[2]
