[edit] Personality

Bloo has a cocky personality, since he always proclaims that he is the best imaginary friend ever, despite his selfish and inconsiderate ways towards others. He has often demonstrated a hyper, albeit nonchalant personality and is sometimes incredibly naive. He is also quite childlike, especially when confronted with a "cool" item he cannot have. Bloo often disregards the rules or finds loopholes in them easily. Bloo and Mac are usually the ones at the receiving end of the episode's morality tale, usually because Bloo's antics got them there in the first place - such as in "Sweet Stench of Success". Bloo often has a tendency to accept outrageous ideas as fact to explain seemingly-mundane occurrences, such as in "The Big Picture". He also has a tendency to take pointless things seriously, such as when the friends were playing "Truth or Dare" in the episode "Infernal Slumber". He has also displayed surprising cunning (in a mean-spirited way) in the episode "I Only Have Surprise For You". He is very skilled at persuasion and usually uses it to manipulate others to his will, going so far as to make them go against their moral standards, though this is usually done to Mac. Bloo is also ticklish in "Make Believe it or not". In the episode "When There's A Wilt, There's A Way", Bloo states that he will only eat salt and vinegar flavoured potato chips. He also has a huge obsession with paddleball, though he is terrible at it.

[edit] Relationships

Bloo treats Mac as his best friend, although he will often use this friendship for his own ends. Most of the time when Mac is not around, Bloo is usually seen hanging out with Wilt, Coco, and Eduardo. Bloo and Frankie usually get along when Bloo is behaved, but often Bloo will aggravate Frankie because of his rule breaking. Mr. Herriman overtly despises Bloo and constantly tries to get him thrown out. Despite his hijinks and self-centered behavior, Bloo has managed to forge several close friendships with the other imaginary friends in the house. Despite Bloo's popularity and good terms with most of the other imaginary friends, he is notorious around the house for his pranks and silly antics, but has also been shown to be a good comedian in "Beat With A Schtick". He also seems to have a strange talent for knowing names before being told what they are, as demonstrated with Wally and Chuck the kitten.

[edit] Character development

Blooregard Q. Kazoo was the first character created by Foster's creator Craig McCracken. Bloo appears as a blue, thumb-shaped blob, although he was first drawn as a blanket that walked and talked like a person on the original website. While he doesn't have legs to speak of he moves by either gliding or bouncing his way around. Usually, he appears armless, but he can produce them at will. In early episodes, he acted innocent and good natured, if rather goofy. However, he became increasingly selfish, inconsiderate, immature, and wild in later episodes. His voice has changed from a deep voice to a lighter voice during the course of the series. Adding to his biographics, his body is shaped like Pacman's rival ghost, Inky.
