[edit] Alan William White

Hi. I was wondering who the person is that you wrote about in the Alan william white article? —Wknight94 (talk) 16:35, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Brian LeBlanc

Alan William White Article Hi thanks for the welcome. Alan was my father. I have a question that perhaps you could help me out with... Why can I not find that article any longer? Did I break a protocol? Thank you, Brian —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bleblanc (talkcontribs) .

Yes, that article has been deleted. It was determined not to have met the standards explained at WP:N. Take a look at that link. Is Mr. White someone who was well-known in any way? I saw that you put quite a bit of work into that article but I also could not determine if he was a figure that was suitable for Wikipedia. If you don't have a copy of what you wrote and you would like one, let me know and I can fetch it for you. If you think he does meet any of the standards shown in WP:N, let me know and maybe I can help it to survive deletion. —Wknight94 (talk) 02:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
Sounds like a very nice article but I think you're right - it's for a different forum. Every subject on Wikipedia is supposed to have a "claim to fame" as it were. WP:N is the general standard that needs to be met. But let me know if you want more guidance on this - or if you need any other assistance. You may want to spend some time reading existing articles to get a general feeling of how things work here and what is included. —Wknight94 (talk) 15:30, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
