[edit] Move to Bleach: The Movie

I considered moving this page to Bleach: The Movie because that is the proper formatting of subtitles. However it is still not certain that "The Movie" was actually meant as the subtitle, so I'll leave it as it is for now. – Gunslinger47 16:32, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

This is resolved. The movie is called Bleach: Memories of Nobody. –Gunslinger47 01:41, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
Actually the title has げきじょうばん at the beginning. In other words, it's really more like Bleach, the Movie: Memories of Nobody. Dekimasu 01:49, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Yeah "劇場版", or genkijo-ban (theatrical version). I don't believe that's actually meant to be part of the title.
It would be the same as saying "The movie, Bleach: Memories of Nobody". –Gunslinger47 01:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Toho's entry

It looks like this might have some useful information, but Babelfish doesn't give me a good translation. http://www.toho.co.jp/lineup/bleach/Gunslinger47 03:02, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image

I've grabbed a new poster image from the official site (or rather a few images and stitched them together. I still don't know why they do that...) uploaded it and added it to the page, as it looks better than the one that was there. This one isn't all streached out, so it looks much better. Radda 03:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Well done. There wasn't much selection when I uploaded the older one. I'll have the old poster deleted. As for why they split the picture up, it's an attempt to make hotlinking their image more difficult as you can no longer steal their bandwidth simply with a single IMG tag. –Gunslinger47 19:40, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Plot translation

Could someone go to http://www.bleach-movie.com/, click on the "story" section and translate the new plot details that they just posted? There are four pages of plot, supposedly. I'd like to see that information in the article. –Gunslinger47 03:58, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for contacting me about it, but I think you might want to contact a user fluent in Japanese like User:Kasuga. It would take me quite a long time to read several page of Japanese text (and I don't have the time at the moment). -- Ynhockey (Talk) 07:29, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] YouTube links

This article is one of thousands on Wikipedia that have a link to YouTube in it. Based on the External links policy, most of these should probably be removed. I'm putting this message here, on this talk page, to request the regular editors take a look at the link and make sure it doesn't violate policy. In short: 1. 99% of the time YouTube should not be used as a source. 2. We must not link to material that violates someones copyright. If you are not sure if the link on this article should be removed or you would like to help spread this message contact us on this page. Thanks, ---J.S (t|c) 05:13, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

The official homepage has been updated to include the trailer that this entry had linked to, thus the situation has resolved itself for this instance, at least. However, I will continue to link to pertinent YouTube (or otherwise) hosted clips or promotional material for demonstrative purposes in the future if I feel that it falls under fair-use. –Gunslinger47 00:25, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canon or not

Is the movie consistent with the Bleach story. I know the anime has included the Bount arc as offical unlike the Naruto fillers. But I've heard from a totally unreliable source that this movie happens right after they save Rukia and return to the human world, which is when the Bount story takes place.--Noman953

What do you mean by official? In terms of the anime, I think the movie will either retcon the Bount arc or exist as a "parallel universe" occurrence. As for the manga, neither the movie or the Bount arc are canon but the movie is "slightly" more canon because Kubo actually had a part in its writing unlike the Bount arc which only carries his name but obviously does not carry his creativity. Gdo01 00:50, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I believe you misheard your sources. This movie is set after they save Rukia and return to the human world, that does not necessarily mean that it's meant to fit within the continuity of the manga or the anime. That said, the sources we have now do say that Tite Kubo is writing the story for the film.Gunslinger47 08:01, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rukia's shikai

The same clip of Rukia's shikai has shown up this week in a tv spot for Memories of Nobody. It seems that it is now practically confirmed that the movie will be Sode no Shirayuki's debut. No definitive proof will occur until the movie comes out but for now it seems pretty certain that it is in the movie. Gdo01 02:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks, I edited the footnote accordingly. –Gunslinger47 05:34, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, anyway, just in case proof is needed, see here. Gdo01 10:59, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The OVA's

Why is there no information about the two Bleach OVA's named Memories in the Rain and the Sealed Sword Frenzy. Especially the last is a great OVA.

Because they aren't Bleach:Memories of Nobody? We have a little info on the second OVA, iirc. It's just not in this article. --tjstrf talk 08:28, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
This might be a better question to ask on the core Bleach talk page. –Gunslinger47 01:05, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
