[edit] History

The band formed in January of 2003, consisting of vocalist Noah Robinson, guitarists Kyle Moorman and Wayne Miller, bassist Casey Kulek, and drummer Austin D'Amond. The band signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast on November 11, 2004.[1]

On January 3, 2005, the band parted with bassist Casey Kulek due to "personal reasons". He was replaced by Daylen Elsey.[2]

The band's debut album, entitled Paradigm in Entropy, was released on April 19, 2005.

On September 9, 2006, the band announced the departure of guitarist Kyle Moorman citing that he wanted to pursue other elements of the music business. Submissions for a replacement guitarist are currently taking place. Also mentioned was that the band will enter the studio in December to record their second album through Nuclear Blast Records.[3] Moorman was later replaced by David Culbert, formerly of Brotherhood.[1]

On January 4, 2007, the band announced that guitarist Wayne Miller, who had recently left the band due to side effects of an illness he caught on a tour with Dope, will be replaced by Rob Thornton. Thornton and Culbert make a lethal duo that will be contributing heavily to the new Bleed the Sky's so far untitled record to be produced by Fear Factory's Christian Olde Wolbers. Wayne Miller will still be involved with the band, as he is now a key part in Bleed the Sky's business deals whilst co-managing the band alongside Archetype Management.

[edit] Genre

The All Music Guide described Bleed the Sky's style as "futuristic, industrial, and melody-infused take on nu-metal's dissonant riffs and rap-like vocals". They have also been praised by the likes of Opeth, and their music style compared to that of Chimaira.
