[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels
Hi thank you for joining the WikiProject. There is still plenty of scope for influencing things and making your contribution count. We are about establishing standards for Novel based articles and writing articles that meet our own and others high standards, and to improve Wikipedia's diet of articles on Fiction books, otherwise called Novels. If you have any questions, do ask. Please be very welcome. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 11:00, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi.
I notice you're the first person (other than Daibhid, who I know) to use the userboxes I designed. It's nice to see that there are people who like them. Although I spent four years in Scotland, I have never been to Ireland, although I'd like to some day, partly because I'm very much a fan of Irish music (I have edited the sean nós article, although I don't really know what I'm talking about in that case; I got my information from a book). I don't know whether you stopped by and read my user page when you got the userboxes, but feel free - it lists more of my interests and other pages I have edited. Cheers. - I couldn't reply yesterday because my Internet connection was in the process of being upgraded. I'm not reading any of Pratchett's books at present, but I am a regular participant on the newsgroup alt.fan.pratchett (albeit with a different username). The book I'm currently reading is Guardian of the Vision by Irene Radford, which is book three in the Merlin's Descendents series. My good friend Stacie (who is an American lecturer in English literature) has an essay on Austen that you might enjoy. Zerrakhi 04:02, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

I really appreciate that you wikified the page I've set up on quilting history. I didn't have time to figure out how. Now that I see the structure I can add to the history. Thanks so much for your help. Quiltpatch 16:41, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] User Page Award nomination
Just thought it would be polite to drop you a line to say I've taken the liberty of nominating your page in the User Page Award thingy. I found it when I was editing fossil fuel power plant the other day and thought it was the most visually striking user page I've seen to date. Cheers,
—Chris (blather • contribs • e) 17:51, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
PS I've taken the further liberty of changing your "please click here" link to point here instead of Alnaschar. Hope you don't mind.

[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] John McGahern
Hi Bláthnaid, I see that you created the fantastic article for John McGahern's fantastic Amongst Women. I've just created articles for The Dark and Memoir. They are both still at stub stage, and I was wondering if you could contribute? I think all of McGahern's books are of notable status, and probably all deserve articles.
