[edit] Image Tagging for Image:XMEN 03232005 0050.png
Hi there,
I created Image:XMEN 03232005 0050.png as a modified, smaller (in terms of filesize) version of your uploaded Image:XMEN 03232005 0050.jpg because it wasn't showing up properly as a jpg (and it was kinda large). Do you know the source (artist, comic book issue) of the image, because otherwise it's gonna get auto-deleted for not having source info attached to it. Thanks! Joeyconnick 21:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- You said: I do always put the source information whenever I link to the image as you can see the artist name and comic book "Age of Apocalypse" (the Marvel Handbook) on this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wild_Child_%28comics%29 Do I also need to add source information to the image? Thanks! Blatantdream 21:20, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's MORE important to add the source info to the image--otherwise it seems they delete it automatically. I've updated Image:XMEN 03232005 0050.png to reflect the source info you gave. Feel free to tweak. Joeyconnick 21:27, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Corrupt Image:XMEN 03232005 0042.jpg
I am sorry that I must list this image for speedy deletion because it is corrupt and won't display in either Firefox or Internet Explorer. Could you please replace the image with a correct version? If you do, you can remove the "Missing image" tag. Jesse Viviano 23:24, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Corrupt images
I had to list some more images you uploaded for speedy deletion because they are corrupt. Could you find out what is wrong with your image processor and fix it before posting any more images? Jesse Viviano 00:38, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
There is nothing wrong with those images and I was able to view them in Firefox, IE as well as Safari. Even Joeyconnick, another UTC person was able to view them because he helped me with image source tagging. I work for Marvel Entertainment managing their image content and these images came straight from the source. Blatantdream 13:53, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
You must have gotten unlucky then. The images that you replaced after the corrupt ones got speedied are good. It is possible that the hard drive containing the now deleted versions had grown old and started developing bad clusters, or that there was an error in the transmission of the images to Wikipedia. I did not mean to offend you when I listed those images. When I worked as a PC technician, I had more than my fair share of bad hard drives. Jesse Viviano 15:44, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
No offense taken. I guess I'll just re-upload the images since they seem to be fine now. I am also viewing these on a MAC so that may have something to do with it. Who knows.Blatantdream 20:32, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marvel
With all due respect, please look up the word "successively", as in the phrase "successively headquartered". Don't mean to get down on you, but you gotta read the intro more carefully. Thanks, and don't sweat it. -- Tenebrae 19:34, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
