[edit] Welcome
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Wandalstouring 19:20, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template:CURRENTHOUR
I noticed that you created Template:CURRENTHOUR today. Per this discussion back in September, the template was deleted. Now that there is a Parser Function for the same output, this template serves no visible purpose. I have tagged it for speedy deletion. Just thought I'd let you know. ^demon[omg plz] 20:06, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem, it's always best to explain your decisions with as much detail as possible. Have a great day :-) ^demon[omg plz] 20:19, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to the VP userbox
Hey
Just thought I'd let you know that your edit to the VP userbox by creating a redirect has probably broken a few people's user pages (like mine). Could you arrange for a bot or AWB to modify the link to the template so that it's no longer a redirect on people's userpages? Cheers. The Rambling Man 16:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- The redirect list is lengthy... it's here. The Rambling Man 16:35, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't know that it didn't just link to the template. But as I've no experience with bots, I'll just go in and do it manually. Blast 21.03.07 1959 (UTC)
- Yes, you have broken the box on the 450+ user pages that use {{User:UBX/VandalProof}} by creating a double redirect. Please be more careful next time, and you might find User:MetsBot useful. mattbr 17:13, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] RPC and integration of church and state
According to the constitution of the RPCNA, your edit of Separation of Church and State was wrong. RPCNA Constitution, on page A-71 (PDF page 76), point 7. I'd recommend reading that whole section on the Civil Magistrate for details.
Please be aware that unification of church and state means structural union. Either the state rules the church (see Anglicanism, and the stuff John Knox was fighting against), or the church rules the state (see Catholicism, etc).
As I understand it, RPs are in favour of the state becoming Christian, but remaining structurally separate, at least in the RPCNA. I'm not 100% sure this is the historical position; for that, you'd need to look at eg. the Solemn League and Covenant. I'm guessing you're not going in for the historical position that much, as the historical RP position is a non-voting position (well, voting in any country that accepts the Solemn League and Covenant :) ).
(Oh, and if you think I'm right, you might want to change your userbox :) )
HTH,

[edit] RPC userbox
Hi. Would you consider modifying the RPC userbox to contain the following:
If you do, it'd also be good to make the background to the appropriate square white.

[edit] Userboxes
READ THE RULES at Category:User templates or other user template categories, they all say the same thing. DO NOT change your userboxes if you do not know how. You miscategorized your sci-fi userbox again. So knock it off. -PatPeter 22:14, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, I overreacted I am just being bombarded by comments from other users I am going on the defensive.
- What the hell do you mean I have a history of WP:CIVIL
- How dare you accuse me of trying to harm Wikipedia. I have dedicated countless edits and time to help Wikipedia and the thanks I get is a number of people yelling at me.
- Yes, Political user templates avoided standardization, but your userbox was in CG:UT or Book fan user templates, hell I dont know I will update you tomorrow I am going to sleep. -PatPeter 03:18, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- I am trying to better organize all user templates with Wikipedia:Wikiproject Source to Short and Wikipedia:Wikiproject Category Cleanup, for example look at Category:User templates and Category:Language user templates in comparision to other user templates (I have some half-sorted so go to about three) and you will see how bad they are in organization, all the subpages are strewn in with templates, whole userpages are in these categories, it is a mess.
- Also, what are you trying to convey to me when you tell me to look at WP:AGF? -PatPeter 18:19, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
- Oh my gosh you would be so good at WP:StS and WP:CGC, heak you already are. -PatPeter 18:42, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your namespace
Could you make the way your userpage is done into some kind of template or explain how you did it? I love how it's collapsible.--Viridistalk|contributions 02:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] How was Firefox controversal?
Please restore; you should have discussed before moving. The move page warned you of that in bright red letters. - Davandron | Talk 04:10, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- None were encyclopædic, so I userfied them, per WP:GUS, as I mentioned in my edit summaries. There's nothing controversial about the templates—they just don't belong in the main Template: namespace, since they're not part of the encyclopædia itself. Blast 06.04.07 0414 (UTC)
