[edit] My thoughts on Blaze

It took me a while to get used to Blaze. I was very much anti-Blaze.

But eventually I got used to his voice, and I now like TXF and VXI.

He's not exactly as charasmatic or over the top or elite as Bruce, but he's still a good singer and maybe one of the best of metal.

Yeah I'd agree with that somewhat

I reckon that Blaze held Maiden together in the 90's. A lot of people don't appreciate that fact. Maiden made some of the best music since Seventh Son on those two albums (with the obvious exception of The Angel And The Gambler, and Steve's to blame for that one, haha)Disciple of Marlowe 06:54, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Allergy?

It took me a while to get used to Blaze too but now I really like the two Blaze Maiden albums and think he's a powerful and sensitive singer. He couldn't be as much of a front man as Bruce. Not many people can, and Blaze also hasn't got that air raid siren top end that Bruce has, only a growl. But I value his contribution to Maiden, and think the sound changed a bit in his time and got deeper and more interesting. I like the Angel and the Gambler, except that it goes on a bit.

Could someone sort out that bit about being allergic? As the moment it sounds like Blaze was allergic to the Angel and the Gambler as well as the stage set and I don't know what it really means. Thanks.

The new one makes Blaze look quite ugly and the shaow hides his face a fair bit. Someone find something better on planetblaze.com (The Elfoid 17:52, 28 September 2006 (UTC))
