Is this a Rudbeckia hirta flower head? It is an excellent photograph of a rudbeckia spp, but I think not of a hirta. Although the stem and leaves are out of focus, there seems no evidence of it being hispid or hirsute. Indeed it looks more like fulgida. R. hirta in general shows a more redish cone (against its comon name of black-eyed susan).
