[edit] Solution

You can select a user CSS in Opera's view bar (icon: glasses) and then it will work correctly.

This wasn't the point, (I know how to use CSS, this isn't the point either)

I see two points in this screenshot, the replacement screenshot addresses niether of them:

  • The system settings says 'dark background', now let's say I'm ok not using costume CSS, accecpting the web 'as is' but I wish to use dark background for most applications - the browser/webpage - does not check the bg colour of the textbox, thus rendering black text on black background. This is not (only) a web browser issue, many applications render text in black regardless of bg colour.
  • A 'system' configuration of colours still does not affect many applications

The new screenshot addresses niether, but rather the effect of a picture's bg within a webpage, which is much less annoying.Oyd11 16:49, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
