[edit] Licensing

Copyrighted

This image is of a film poster, and the copyright for it is most likely owned by either the publisher of the film or the studio which produced the film in question. It is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of film posters

qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. See Wikipedia:Fair use for more information.

To the uploader: please add a detailed fair use rationale for each use, as described on Wikipedia:Image description page, as well as the source of the work and copyright information.

[edit] Fair use

This image, BlackSundayPoster.jpg, is being linked here; although the picture is subject to copyright I (Hal Raglan) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

  • According to the Wikipedia:Fair use tag for movie posters, "it is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of movie posters, to illustrate the movie in question, qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law." The image has been added to the article to assist in critical commentary/discussion of La maschera del demonio. Also:
  1. It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality).
  2. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to market or sell the work in any way.
  3. This image is used on various websites, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is.
  4. The image is being used in an informative way and should not detract from the original work.-Hal Raglan 17:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
