[edit] Gameplay

In Blast Factor you pilot a microscopic craft through a series of infected cells and use your craft's weaponry to rid the cell of various infections.

The controls are simple, the left analog stick moves the craft and the right fires the weapon (similar to Smash TV, Robotron 2080, or Cash, Guns, Chaos). Additionally, you can violently tilt the SIXAXIS controller to the left or right to "Slosh" the playing filed to one side or the other. The effect being that the infections get forced to one side or the other, often grouping them for easier elimination.

Each Cell that you enter will have several infections appear. It is your objective to destroy all of the infections. The types an behaviors of the infections vary and change as the game progresses.

You must cleanse 6 cells (or waves) in a cluster (or game level) to move on to the next cluster. There are various powerups to be gained, such as multishot.

The end effect is a experience similar to a 2-dimensional space combat game (like Blasteroids).

[edit] Multiplayer Pack

A Blast Factor multiplayer pack was released on February 1, 2007 for $2.99. The multiplayer is restricted to the local console only, one to four players. You can also play with up to a 150 percent speed increase.
